I keep waiting for jetlag to set in. I am kinda tired now, at the end of the day, but I don't feel completely thrown off...maybe because I messed up my sleep schedule so much before I got here. Hehe...
We first went to the conference building to pick up our registration stuff,
and found this cute little “French” cafe.
The last image, of the tea and sandwich, is what I ended up choosing. It was quite tasty.
Next up, we went on a mission to find a shrine in Kobe, Ikuta. On the way we stopped at a mall. Apparently Obama fever is so big in Japan that he’s used on the covers of books for learning English the easy way.
I thought that last laptop was getting to be on the small side. (You can see it’s comparative size with my cell phone) Then I saw this:
I included the iida phone because I want it to be in the US so that I can buy it.
Tucked away in the middle of downtown Kobe is the Ikuta shrine.
I felt so peaceful here…
I leave you with some more pictures of Kobe I took that day. These are all in the area around the Sannomiya Station.
I love Kobe. Pictures to follow later.
Edit: Kobe is very picturesque. We first went to the conference building to pick up our registration stuff,
